A NEW CHAPTER OF GOTHIC HORROR

FROM THE FILMMAKERS OF "THE CALL OF CTHULHU" AND "THE WHISPERER IN DARKNESS"

Black Goat is an 8 episode gothic horror television series inspired by the work of author H.P. Lovecraft.

Lovecraft wrote his own unique brand of fiction. His tales have inspired generations of artists and helped shape pop culture. Blending gothic traditions with science fiction, Lovecraft’s imagination created a world within our world, an entire mythology, one haunted by ancient gods, incipient madness, alien races, lost cultures, forbidden books, and mad scientists.

Although Lovecraft is long since gone, he enjoys one of the most dedicated fan bases in the world, one that is always hungry for more content. Our goal with Black Goat is to create all new original stories that exist entirely in the vibrant universe he created, and continue to entertain his millions of followers around the world.

DAVEY ROBERTSON

Creator • Executive Producer

Originally from Toronto, Canada, and Buffalo, NY, Davey Robertson has been burning up the big and small screen in the Los Angeles film industry for over 20 years. He is an award winning writer/director and a prolific cinematographer who has tallied dozens of international awards, including the Golden Eagle from Cannes in 2012. He has over 150 hours of episodic television, multiple feature films, and dozens of national commercials to his credit.

An artist from a young age, Davey caught the filmmaking bug in high school, strongly influenced by the works of David Lynch, The Coen Brothers, and Lasse Halstrom. His passion for the poetic has led him thoughout his career to seek out the strange, artistic and unconventional.

He is very proud that his Film & Television work has been praised for both it’s striking visual style, and ability to maintain the highest visual standards regardless of the budget. He admits the best compliment he’s ever had was “No one does more with less!"

When not shattering barriers with mind blowing projects , Davey spends all of his time with the love his life, The Buffalo Bills.

Go Bills!

MIKE DALAGER

Executive Producer • Music Supervisor

Born and raised on the island of O’ahu in the State of Hawaii, Mike Dalager was culturally injected with Hawaiian lore and music from a young age. He learned the importance of discipline and tradition as the child of a Vietnam War Veteran. The first choreography he learned was a hand salute. His first instrument, a conch shell. Oddly, at 9 years old, his first solo singing performance was “They Call the Wind Maria” from the musical Paint Your Wagon.

As a professional performer, Mike has travelled throughout the United States as a Broadway Tour cast member of Jesus Christ Superstar and The King and I. Internationally, he performed in the Swedish Premiere of Miss Saigon (Stockholm), as well as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita and Jim Steinman’s Garbo: The Musical. It was his time in Stockholm that established his working relationship with prolific Swedish music producers, Chris Laney and Anders Ringman of Platform Studio. Since then, he has produced music nonstop, collaborating with an array of Industry icons. In 2013, Mike Executive Produced the concept album, Dreams in the Witch House: A Lovecraftian Rock Opera, a massive undertaking which merges the horror of H.P. Lovecraft with the dynamism of Heavy Metal.

When not producing music for his Burbank based company, Platform West, Mike serves as a U.S. Coast Guardsman, where he confers with “Deep Ones” along the coast of Southern California. Mike can also been seen performing the U.S. National Anthem before major sporting events. The largest audience to ever hear him was the 2018 Major League Baseball “World Series”, in which 54,000 fans attended and 15 million tuned in on television.

SEAN BRANNEY

Co-Executive Producer

Sean Branney is the co-founder of the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society, the largest Lovecraft website in the world. As a Director, writer, actor, and author, he has created movies, audio books, radio dramas, books, games and unspeakable things which are hard to describe in a brief biography.

A world renown expert in Lovecraft history and horror, Sean wrote and produced the feature film The Call of Cthulhu and co-wrote and directed it's critically acclaimed follow up, The Whisperer in Darkness. Also he created 24 feature-length 1930s-style radio dramas for the acclaimed series Dark Adventure Radio Theatre. Additionally, as an accomplished theatre director, he has done over twenty professional theatrical productions for Theatre Banshee in Los Angeles.

While he continues to explore creative ways to share Lovecraft’s cosmic horror with new audiences, he also enjoys playing ice hockey and has a pair of chinchillas.

ANDREW LEMAN

Co-Executive Producer

From the suburbs of Denver, Colorado, Andrew Leman is the co-founder of the H. P. Lovecraft Historical Society, and has produced a simply baffling number of literary, film, theatrical, music, prop and gaming projects that celebrate Lovecraftian horror.

Most noteably, Andrew produced and directed The Call of Cthulhu, widely considered the best Lovecraft film adaptation ever made, and co-wrote and co-produced it’s follow up, The Whisperer in Darkness. In his total lack of free time, he also co-writes, produces, and performs in the Dark Adventure Radio Theatre series and co-hosts the podcast Voluminous, which explores the thousands of personal letters written by Lovecraft.

In his personal life, Andrew is devoted to his husband Glenn and their rescue dogs. He rides his bike as often as he can, which is never often enough

Producer • Writer

A proud native of the pearl of Sebastian County, Fort Smith, Arkansas, Brandon Keener is an accomplished actor who has built an impressive 20 year professional career in Los Angeles.

His feature film work includes co-stars in Hustlers, Run Sweetheart Run, The Purge: Anarchy, He's just not that into you, Zookeeper, The Guilt Trip, Full Frontal, Traffic and so many more. With appearances in over 80 national commercials, most of them comic, Brandon has definitely learned the virtues of efficient storytelling!

As a writer, he has written multiple feature films, some too weird to produce, and he is proud to have created, written and produced the popular live comedy show The Cutting Room Floor at IO West in Los Angeles.
